I hope you guys don't get tired of these 110 dating questions. I have looked and searched but can't date this one other than pre 1973.
Its a 110 with no model number anywhere
Says Buck USA on the tang and is Inverted (read tip down)
Has a Brass rear spacer
Has a Brass Rocker pin ( pretty much smooth with the handle)
Two handle pins (3 total counting the rocker pin)
Wood is dark and fine grained so I am guessing ebony?
Nain nick is struck and the back edge is pretty much under the point where the top flat edge of the blade makes the down sweep to the tip
As close as I can measure it, appears to be 9/16 inch thick
Bolsters are squared off versus rounded, if that is saying it correctly.
Sheath is well worn and says Buck above the snap
Snap has Buck one line
Sheath does not have the 110 on lower back.
Knife and sheath are in good shape. Someone did put the blade on a grinder and the curve is gone off the bottom of the tang, but the edge itself does not appear to have been ground very much. Interestingly enough, the two 2 pin 112's I have are also smoothed off on the bottom of the tang. Must have been in the era when people used grinders to sharpen blades..
Thanks Guys,
I appreciate any info,
