This always happens, I save up some money, spend it, and in 1 day to 3 days see something I might want more.

Anyway there's an old ATS-34 #P62, large custom graphic, no clip cutout on ebay now.

:grumpy:

I'm 99% sure it's ATS-34, I have P83 and it's dated Dec. 1 1993 and it is ATS-34.

The FAQ probably staes when they switched to BG-42.

I have a question. Could you please explain what 'P83' is on the sebenza. I have an old one that has a 'P' stamped on the handle next to the CR logo.

"H" stands for "handmade."

"P" stands for "production" run. 83 means #83.

Byrom - When CRK switched over to CNC-machining, they began stamping "P" on the handles to denote "production" as opposed to the "H" Sebbies which are handmade.

Whenever CRK introduces a new product or significant modification, they number the first 150 pieces or so. So the first "P" Sebbies were serialized, after which they simply kept the P. Later, they dropped the P marking as they thought it no longer served a purpose.

When they began to make the regular style handle and blade profile circa 1996, the first few were again serialized with just a number. I do have a regular handled Sebbie marked "PP" which stands for pre-production. I think there are also some PP marked Sebbies from when they re-introduced the classic style in 2000.
