This Allen Blade Combat Bowie, 8 1/2" blade with micarta handle and kydex sheath went up north for a visit to a long time friend, as he is going through some Selling spree I approached him as to this Bowie and he agreed to return it to me, as when he first contacted me on it he was pretty dog gone insistent that he wanted her...:) as most would do! So I reluctantly traded, as he was my friend but did miss the knife, so today! all the way from Kodiak Island the bowie came to rest here in the wilds of PA...Thanks Greg!

Allen sure could grind out a mean knife.

Yes he could :)

The flat grind is quite nice the full length, no wabbles anywhere along her lines, and the point narrows down as well.

The balance on this thing is great, blade steel is 5160 with that visible temper line and the balance is just in front of the guard, I lay my index finger along side the front of the guard and the knife just lays there perfectly balanced, very nice!

The guard has a nice radius from all four sides into the handle.

Wow! Nice blade Gary. The handles, guard and spacers look fantastic. Happy New Year. Still carrying my AR in my G2. Havn't found another knife that deserves one of your sheaths, but I keep trying. Be well. ec

Humidity in PA will hurt that baby...send her to Vegas...nice and dry and not a tree to be chopped within 40 miles....lol !:D

Great homecoming story! I have a MEUK from Allen, so I am jealous that you have that sweet bowie. Enjoy her!

She be nice for sure, glad to hear that your story ended on a good note as well! Unfortunately, there are others not so lucky, I do believe that Win Heger is still out a deposit on an order that contained a 5" CPM3V bladed bowie that would have taken this one's place, that's been close to two years now and no funds or knives have shown themselves. I've spoken with Allen before and he seemed like a straight up fellow, I'd never have thought that he would welch on a deal. But as of late I've also heard that he is making a comeback of sorts so hope still remains that Win will get either his funds or knives soon...

A friend emailed me the coincidence that this reply was on Allen Blade's birthday...odd eh?

But that made me wonder when it was that Allen last spoke of Win Heger's knives being worked on...This Thread here a long reply from Allen but Win is still out the dollars, though he'd love to have he knives promised. I'd have liked to have seen that 5" one with CPM3V blade as well...:(
