Could be. I guess all axes are related to some degree. Though one thing about the spillers, which I might have to post a pic, the couple I got are more like mauls than axes, head/bit geometry wise. The angle on the bits is your old 45 degree roof tops. But, the Donald wasn't too far off from that LOL.

Man, every time I see an old oakland axe I just want one more. That plus Oakland is my hometown. Nice find!
 
I have a guess it isnt overall that old. They were in business until 1965, all hand made, the last company that was all hand made. If I had to guess, I would say this was between 1945 and 1955. I will have to dive into it more.
