I was all excited when I got this strip of horsehide in and saw the figuring in it......I decided it was time to put my F1 into something really cool like this.
I stitched it up first thing this morning and the ....whatever that is under the work...hit the belt loop and made a stitch jump the track......hate it when that happens.
Sandy's right, I have to stop mixing that stuff in with my coffee...
It's for me, so I can live with.....I guess....til I remake it.....this leather is still purty.:D

Damn, Rick, it looks like you left enough margin to miss the needle plate. I use 3/4" minimum clearance between the loop and the edge, and sometimes that's cutting it close. It doesn't look all that bad in the photos but you can see IF you know to look for it. That is some "purty" leather though. Reminds me of French Calf.

Ah!, my friend---------------You don't cut that stuff with your coffee----you cut your coffee with that stuff!!! Makes all the difference in the world. I am with Paul (99 .99 % of the time) on his assessment----------and it is purty leather!!! Sandy

Rayban, you're too hard on yourself. Maybe you or Paul or Sandy can find your mistake but even being told it's there I don't see it...

Rick I never have that problem, It looks good. By the way I sew everything by hand maybe thats why. KT :)
