Got this one in the mail today.

I designed this knife about 12 months ago and more recently asked Peter of Jensen Elite if he could grind it up for me.

The first time I handled this baby, I got the same feeling as when I handled my Gecko nekr' - it feels 'just right'...2 good designs from paper to steel from 50 or so aint bad! ;)

The handle is slightly longer than normal to aid in chopping etc, and the balance is perfect! A nice chunk O knife for camp/utility and the more I use it, could even have good combat characteristics, so I'm told...:D

Thanks to Pete for bringing it to life for me!

6.5" cutting edge, 13" overall, 1/4" ATS34, V ground with false swedge and clip point. Sweeeeeeeeeeeet !

Forgot to mention the name! It is the 'Water Dragon'...hmmm, still not convinced, but it has an Aussie name and the lovely wife chose it, so, the WD it is...

Great looking knife! Do you mind if I try to make myself a copy of that one? Doubtful if I come even close, but I like the style a lot.

Only if I get pics Danbo! ;)

How is the knife makin thingy going anyhoo?

good to hear from you!

That is really cool! A 9-10" blade version would make me really drool! Love the design.

I holding out for the spork. ;)

That is a great design. You can tell that someone with real world experience designed it.

Very, very nice! Really like the shape - from the end of the handle to the tip of the blade. I can see a lot of thought behind this one! Congratulations!:)

a lot of thought as in about 1/2 a packet of trace paper, 5 sets of french curves and a lil help from the lovely wife...:D

Seriously Peter, you brought it to life exactly as is on paper (I overlaid it...)...

Now, about that 10" version....

How do you guys get the little picture under your screen names over on the left <----? I can't figure out how to do that.

you have to first make a pic up JP at approx 100 pixels square. Then go to the 'user cp' button at the top and go to edit options. Down the bottom, the avatar option is there, simply upload your pic from where you saved it and there you go!

Now that looks like a perfect big knife for camp and bush use. I really like the clip point and overall shape. Peter did a great job on that knife for you.

Thank you for the kind comments Keith!

I plan on using it this weekend. It sure does feel great!

The size proportions can be deceiving on the photo. I will get a pic of it in hand later on and post it in this thread...

Thanks for the thumbs up everyone.... and another great design from Gundy.
The 10" version is already being discussed.
(and Gundy, your hybrid will be in the post on monday ;) )
