ok here's the new one

Blade: O1 tool steel
Finish: machine satin bevels (scotch brite)
Filework: checkering
Handle: Stabilized Maple burl
Pins: Stainless and brass mosaic
Length: 8 1/4"
Width: 1"
Thickness: 1/8"

well as soon as soon as this gets a sheath i guess i'm gonna have to sell it. though i really don't want to. but i guess i can just make another one right?
hope you all like it.

Great work Michael! And it's in O1!!

P.S. How did you finish the blade? 320 grit and Fine Scotchbrite? Thanks!

thanks guys

yeah, had some O1 laying around (as always) its quicker to work with than sending out blades for HT

i went from 400 to the very fine scotch brite.... atleast i think thats what its called. its the blue belt. one away from the "super fine"

either that or i got em backwards:confused:

glad you liked it guys

Thats a gorgeous knife. Great lines, comfy looking handle. Really nicely done, of course like all your stuff. That one just really gets it for me personally.

very nice!!! NExt time try and make the handle scales thinner and see what you think. I was scarred to for so long and now I love the sleek feel on elegant knives...and this one sure fits that bill:thumbup:

Cool I like Mike

hey Mike did you get my mail I sent to everyone the other day. I didn't hear from you..
let me know..

on another note
I got to say it..:p
I got news this weekend on my factory mass produced blade coming out soon  I'm a haPPy camper:D
shoot me an email when you get a chance..:)

Outstanding all around here Matt: I like the filework, great looking handles to. And the Mosaic pins set it out. God bless and have a safe day in the shop.

Barkes
When I leave this world I would like to be known by the one who make his knives from start to finish.
