I love these Ontario machete's. They make great fodder for custom knife projects. This time its one for my wife. She handles all cooking duties when we are camping so I thought a Nessy would be appropriate for her.
Here are the pics-

Interesting conversion. I never would have thought of using a skateboard deck for the scales.
The finished knife looks great.

That is WAAAAYYYY KOOL!!! Super job and use of materials!!! John:)

Tobiism,

Way to Go, Bro!
I hope Mama loves it and you score big points.

You had me at this...
Just needs scales, would be an awesome pig pickin' chopper.

Nice work!

Thanks everyone!!! I'm digging it.
After using it for a bit I had to make some changes to it. I changed the handle/grind transition area to be swoopier and changed the grind closer to the handle since I left the original blade shape. Then I dropped the point an inch to get the point in line with the handle. This is how it will stay now. I am calling this one finished.
Now a leather sheath for mama!

Very nice work. From the first picture I though it would be a much larger knife.
I was thinking of a machete mod earlier today.

The devils in the details...
Those final mods really give it a more refined look when you compare the pics side by side...very nice!

You are one creative master mind. Excellent

I see a kid standing there in disbelief saying, what happened to my skate board?
