We headed back up to Lilly pond. Had coffee, and made some bannock, and it was good.

Man looks like an awesome place to camp. The pics with the tarp right near the water looks like it's right out of Kepharts days.

I steer clear of the historical parks and the ones that have attendants and require upkeep. I hit the wild forest sections of Adirondack park.

The wildness of the Adirondacks is what calls me too. If you steer clear of the High Peaks in the summer and poke around some of the more remote regions, you can have miles and miles of rugged adventure.

I've unfortunately been away from the Adirondack backcountry in the past few years because of the birth of our son. He's 3 years old now and I'm hoping we'll be able to squeeze in a trip of some kind this summer.
