Another photo help question

Trying to download from Photobucket but I get the message that my file is too large.

When I edit the size to be acceptable I get thumbnail size photos rather than the more direct size photos that everyone seems to post
(bigger than the expanded thumbnails).

I can get very nice thumbnails from my computer making Photobucket totally redundant but I know that I am not using PB correctly.

Photobucket users - what size should my photos be in order to post on BF?

I've never had that happen. What link are you using? It should be the one with tags.

Go to your Photobucket album.
Click on the picture you want.
Go to the right and see Links to share this photo

Email & IM
Direct
HTML

Left click on [B]IMG[/B]. It will flash Copied. Paste into your post.

This is my selection window from which:

1) if I choose Direct - my file is too large

2) if I choose IMG - BF says the file is invalid.

Doesn't seem to matter which size photo I use until I go small enough that the thumbnail is posted.
