Another PM 2 real thread.

I'd stay away from this one, jimping is a little off, and golden Colorado USA earth should not be parallel to the plunge line. This is an extremely good copy, yikes

Thanks to all who are helping. Seller is very upfront and wants to only do the right thing. If he can get enough help he can possibly get his money back.

Among the other things already noted, the cut out for the lock access in the clip side scale appears to have sharp corners on the outer edges. The screws also look like the they use a smaller Torx bit than what are used on the real PM2.

Do the liners have notches cut in the bottom on each side. See the first post of the thread linked below.

Does the liner on the clip side have 2 cut-outs for weight reduction?

FYI, there are plenty of videos on YouTube that show the differences between fake and real PM2s.

Not sure why some say its a bad fake. I'd say its a pretty darn good fake from what I've seen but a fake none the less.

That is a fake and not all that good of a fake.

We should not be listing the ways that the fakers can improve their fakes.
You are right. I always forget we can be helping people make better fakes. Thanks again for all the help. Hopefully he can get his money back.

Fake IMO, for a number of reasons.

ETA - (And I have a REAL one sitting right here to confirm my initial thoughts.)

Thanks again for all the help. I am hoping that the guy can get his money back. I have learned a lot more myself. I can look at the one in my hand and see the things mentioned in this post that are wrong. I had watched videos and studied other threads but was still fooled on this one. Really sucks for us wanting some of the discontinued models. Can not buy them from a trusted dealer and there are so many fakes out there now.

My point was that the photos aren't all that good and you can easily see from the photos that it is a fake. If it was a good fake I would think you would have to have the knife in your hand and compare closely with a real one to see that it is a fake. But yes there are bad fakes that you can spot from across the room in bad light.
