Another question about the Military

Thanks all, for the input on the other Military thread (and poll) that I posted).

Another question: the spec for the Military's blade length is 4". Is that 4" from tip to hilt, or is it 4" of cutting edge?

Total blade length is 4 In,cutting edge is about 3 3/4.
