If one of my employees that's a gold member here sells stuff, that's cool right?

Thanks,

Bill

I'm not sure exactly what you're asking ... he can't spam the Individual For-Sale forums with ads for your business. He can't post for you in the Dealer forums, either, only Dealer Members can start threads there. If you don't mind trusting him with your password he could use your account to post ads in the Dealer forums....

This isn't what I meant.

That's what I was driving at.

Well, I guess I don't want anyone using my own account. It's got nothing to do with trust really. Just, I don't know; I guess I just want posts under my user name to be my own. Maybe, I'll upgrade his account to dealer.

Thanks,

Bill

You shouldn't have to pay for two Dealer Memberships for one business. I think Spark can be persuaded to give you a second one for your employee for less than the cost of the first one.

Bill, you have to start taking advantage of that membership of yours. You should be advertising knives for sale in the Dealer - Knives For Sale area. You should also put a link to your website in your signature. If you have some time to spend you should get as involved as you can in the general forums. Taking the time to reply to questions that you have knowledge of, and also, just to give your opinion on things. Try to become as integral a part of BladeForums as you can.

When people ask what knife dealers would other members recommend, I always mention the BladeForums supporting dealers. Alaskagun.com has been included for the last few weeks. That will get noticed, but you need to get your name out in front of the members here as much as possible. This is a large community, and the best way to take advantage of that is for as many members as possible to get to know your name.

Keith, thanks for the guiding hand. [Whispering to self] Is this a cult or something? just kidding :D Anyway, I haven't had any free time this summer as I've gone back to school to get a degree in mathematics. Summer math classes are quite fast paced and I fell behind when, after I returned from BLADE, my employee took off for two weeks. Be that as it may, with what little free time I have I'm using some of it to take advantage of my membership.

Per Alaska Gun, I'm in the midst of changing it to Alaska Knife. I've taken out a business license in that name and I also own the domain name. There was a knife shop up here for quite some time calling itself "Alaska Knife" but they recently closed down so I decided to go for it. At Alaska Gun we only have high end .45s and Sigs (we used to stock quite a few HK P7 M8, too) and so when a new customer would walk in they would some times quip, "maybe you should call yourself Alaska Knife." I decided to follow their advise. As I type this, I'm beginning a clearance sale on firearms so the change is underway.

I'd like to mention that Alaska Gun does have a website but it's dated, to say the least. What's more it's not very professional looking and in need of a complete over-haul. As a matter of fact, the website is totally getting scrapped (which more than pleases everyone up here as there's bad blood between us the rogue who made it!)

Anyway, that as they say is that. Keith, I shall most certainly follow your advise in reference to getting involved here, which shouldn't be too hard as I'm a true blue knife enthusiast, and I hope that everyone's looking forward to doing business with a new dealer at Blade Forums.

Sincerely,

William Jerald Jury III

Yeah, I have no problem giving a paying dealer another dealer membership for an employee. It's not a big deal

Activated, expiring the same time as Athame (8-08-06)

Alright, we're kick some *now. Thanks for the upgrade and I'll be renewing my dealer account here in a couple weeks it looks like.

Cheers,

Bill
