Reasons why I prefer Busses:

#278 - People who like Busses are not as concerned about tiny little scratches or slight imprefections. Unlike the mass produced pieces of shxt that devalue the moment you buy them - Busses actually increase in value the moment you get one. They are better made and are of much higher quality to start with. And despite some minor use ( :D ) they continue to hold their value well and often increase in desirability as time goes forward.

And so this is another reason I have been getting out of the mass produced, trinket and toy market. I am sick and tired of selling one off and having that person contact me all in a huff because it just isn't as wonderland perfect as they migh desire and I will need to pay return shipping and undo the deal...............$#^%&$!!!!

Guess what I just got in my e-mail inbox  ..... And I can assure you I am not out here screwing people - ask many that I have done deals with. But nooooo. You get what you pay for people and $45 knives will never be worth much more than that.... And some dare suggest that these are "collectables" - right!

Ok I am better now. Sheeeeech! Some peoples children. Thanks Jerry for making such a darn excellent product!!

CRUD!

So yer tellin me this knife won't appreciate beyond the $25 retail price?

I best cancel that order for 100 of them. LOL

Hey, I got a "beater" SH-E for $300 last month. I was tickled pink the seller didn't think it was worth all that much b/c he rubbed a bit of the coating off of it. Ehh. If it was pristine, I might not bother to use it. :)

I am with you brother - and with a Busse you actually can use it. Not so with some of the bug knives......

I will be better tomorrow - just a little bent right now... I had thought so much more of humanity... sigh...

Oh and MAJOR CONGRATS on the SH-e!! Nice score!!

Dennis,

Some of the most collectible slipjoints; the ones that are counterfeited en masse; were sold for very low prices. You may well have a gold mine on your hands.

TurnerIII,

INFI and other good steels (SR-101, 5160, S7, M2...) will do that to you. If the knife still shaves after cutting steel flashing, it's hard to see what's wrong. You've just got to know your audience. I sold a 730CFHS reprofiled with a shiny EdgePro edge and scratched coating for a song. The buyer, a great guy, just couldn't stand it, so I bought it back. Put it up for sale again and another guy, one who has been through more INFI and 5160 than I can count, now has that knife and loves it. Other than me, everyone's different.

You can actually use a Busse and not hurt it?  :D

We are here for you, T. :D

Thanks Terry -

Its a new day and I am doing better. In fact it really was not that good of a tarde and he can keep his and do whatever with it.....

And I knew you all were here and that helps. I can now understand why some the more experienced people only trade with other more experienced people. Sorry newbes but the wine factor is just too high.

Have a Great Sarurday all. Its going to be a great one for me as I am going to a pre-season game in GREEN BAY tonight!! :D :D :D

Yep... the most emotionally frustrated knife deal I've had was with the guy to whom I sold a $20 CRKT. I was shocked to hear his complaints.

I gave him part of his cash back to save my reputation (with an offer to just refund) and now give hard consideration to whom I will sell knives in the future.

Oe more reason to stick with Wauseon.
