Hi All,

New to knife world, but not new to collecting items. I received my first Rick Hinderer today (along with another blade today). I have a CF scale which should be here tomorrow that will go on it. Nothing wrong with a few quick pics! Two wonderful knives in one day...

I look forward to learning and collecting. This seems like a nice place to "hang out"...

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Wonderful pics, I like how you picked up the color of the laser engraving. Congrats on your scores!

Chris, you may be a newbie but you've chosen your first knives like an expert!!!!!

Very nice double score!

I really like the sandblast finish with that scale, killer XM.

I have a 0560CBCF on its way to me.....soon.

Thank you all for the kind words and warm welcome. I installed the CF scale and I love how it looks. Now if I could only find some copper or blue color stand-offs, I will be a happy camper. :)

Thanks for looking,
Chris

Amazing photos can I ask what camera and lens you used? Yes I know completely off topic

I'm traveling for the next two weeks with my family to Disney so I'm unable to give an exact model. It is an inexpensive ($349) Sony automatic. I set it auto and let it rip. The first set were taken outdoors on an overcast day. The second set were taken on my Diamond pool table with a full table length light. They look pretty decent.

My secret is to learn to use the camera to its fullest. I'm not patient enough to learn how to use a DSLR type camera. I prefer the point and shoot for dummies method. :D

Thank you very much for the compliments!

Awesome score; congratulations! Great pictures, too.

I don't get have the composite 0560 (soon),
But I have a couple 056Xs and an 0550, as well as a few XMs

They are all incredible knives. Choosing which one to carry as my EDC on any given day is harder for me than picking out my clothes. Often times, I'll have one in my pocket and another in my bag or jacket pocket.

Each knife has unique advantages over the others, making it impossible to choose a favorite. If I could only keep one, it'd be one of my Spanto XM-18s because of how solid and rugged they are.

Enjoy your new blades. You have great taste. I think they are by and large the best production tactical folders.

These knives are incredibly addicting... The versatility and complete dependability--NOT TOO mention the incredible functionality of the knives are simply THE BEST of all the makers..
I buy a Hinderer-GET antsy--SELL or TRADE it.. REGRET it...Buy a Hinderer...the CIRCLE IS SIMPLY VISCIOUS..........Viscious I SAY.
Now I am the VERY PROUD OWNER of MY keepers XM 18 3" Flipper and Non Flipper Slicers and 1 GRAIL Non Flipper Spanto (Impossible to find)
These knives are just utterly the best...
I am certain we will have MANY in these forums pipe in and SOLIDIFY my feelings.
OH and the BLING and the scale options just put these OVER THE MOON............-
