Was on the fence about purchasing awt scales for my benchmade griptilian. Griptilian is a great knife but always thought it felt cheap with the plastic type handles. Bit the bullet and ordered the awt scales in electric blue with raw aluminum back spacer. Wow, what a transformation! Absolutely love this knife now, was concerned about the scales being an ounce or so heavier, but I actually like the balanced feel of the knife much better with these scales. Something to be said about anodized aluminum scales, they just feel much higher quality in the hand compared to some of the g10 lightweight scales. Griptilian now feels just as good of quality compared to my 940 and emissary now.

Cool backspacer, and a classy looking knife. Certainly an upgrade from the original. Looks a bit Sebenza-esque. Never noticed the similarities before, but those slab Ti scales really bring out the lines.

Very nice. I've been looking at those scales for some time but still haven't bought them.
