Actually, it isn't. I was just trying to fool the moderators. ;)

Did anyone make anything for anybody this christmas, Chanukah, kwanza, festivus, etc....

I made this Sea "D" otter for my wife, to put in our new room.

It is a CD holder, as you can see. The body is cherry, with walnut accents for appendages. I just used a simple tung oil finish on it. Not a terribly difficult project, but as usual, I waited till the last minute to build it.

Now, the ball that holds the CDs in place is something I whipped together at the last minute. I'm really looking for a solid granite or marble ball, about 3" in diameter. Nobody has that around here. What ya think, Larry? Anybody up by you that might have that?

Well anyway, show us your skills...

Perfect, Redshanks!

That's nice.

My daughter wants me to make her a CD holder, the otter seems like a good idea but much too small for all the CDs that she has, maybe I could make a bunch, now where can I find all those spheres?, I do have some old baseballs...

I tied a little fob in Christmas colors.

Why is the otter smiling?

Wouldn't you smile if someone was always handling your ball???

Sorry, I just had to...

Nice work, Luis... that's what I'm talking about.

I have a small lathe and sometimes turn tops for the kids, I wish I had some more around to show, made this Dreidel several years ago.

Ha, ha, delander...

Soon...soon...I hope.

I use thin leather strips to protect the bolsters when I tap on them (sometimes, even Schrades). The leather comes from old golf gloves, or a round pouch that holds Pampero Aniversario rum. That reminds me...I need some more leather. :D
