Well, as I said before, y'all are a bad influence. After seeing this thread:

I decided it was time to start the search. I waffled around thinking I might need something bigger possibly, so I also began that search. Well within the last 24 hours, I have purchased a CRK Shadow III and a Busse ASH-1.

Now I have my perfect woods pair, along with the multitude of other folders I have acquired lately (Umnum, small & large Seb, 2 Emerson CQC-7A's), so I should not want for having something for cutting.

Regarding the Shadow III, I went through nearly every website listed on the CRK dealer list (for the US, at least), and of the few sites that had the knife, several of them were charging an extra $50 for both the Shadow III & the Mountineer I (both the 4" blade one-pieces). I found only two or three sites that had the Shadow (in stock) for the MSRP. My point is if you're on the fence, make a decision...they're drying up quickly.

Have a good Easter weekend!

The Shadow III was my First CRK many years ago. Its a great little knife. I liked it so much I bought another last year just to have as a backup incase anything ever happens to my first one.

I knew they would dry up, but I must admit I am a little surprised that its so quickly.

Martin,
Congrats on your 2 new family members, Great choices :thumbup::thumbup:
Enjoy....... :D:D:D Rick :D:D:D

Good job securing one ...Theyre great knives! Didnt expect the knives to go up 50 bucks that fast, imagine what theyll cost in 20 years then.

Hope you'll enjoy yours as much as im enjoying mine! :D

Rick,

You seriously had me tempted with your offer, but there's no way I could use and abuse the anniversary knife. HOWEVER, I still might get it just to oogle over in my gun room (when I get back to the US, that is).

I'll use the Busse for hacking things up, the CRK will be for the finer work, and likely be carried and used quite a bit more.

Cheers!!
