Another sharpening suggestion.

Do not, I repeat, NOT attempt to sharpen your khukuris after about 2 AM. For some reason, doing so is far less productive than morning or evenings when well rested.:eek: :(

I couldn't disagree more, Steve. He should avail himself of the opportunity to etch the blade.

The dust bunnies prefer 2 to 5 AM for sharpening, polishing and dusting. They wake me up about every 4 years.
 
The worst that happened in this case was the more I sharpened, the duller it got.

The following morning, a few minutes got it back to where it was when I started, and then a few additional minutes got it sharper that it had ever been before.

Actually, the real problem was that it was a new blade, so it needs the bevel set up right, like on my other khuks. A little extra each time I pick it up and it'll make it sooner or later.
