Forgot to put this one in the earlier thread..........
1) Bark tan cowhide core with a brass throat - to "imitate" a period commercial sheath - the core includes a raised ridge down the back to imitate the raised center seam on most such sheaths.
2) The cover is mule deer rawhide finished with period boiled linseed oil and rosin varnish.
3) The beadwork is based on an original Crow made band. It's beaded on braintan mule deer - the aged old time bead colors are: light blue, red, amber, and black, with navy blue edging
4) The belt loop is vinegar blacked (period leather dye) harness leather held to the sheath with braintan ties
5) Tin cone tinklers with buffalo hair tufts
6) The retention strap is a braintan whang with brass beads, a single red heart glass bead, and a tin cone.
