Dwayne made me this sheath for my Desert SH and I couldn't be happier, the fit and finish is excellent.

browns...nasty buggers they are too!

Hey Ian, wrapped a 3 weight fly rod around the ears of a 6' Tiger the other day. Son of a biatch tried to climb my leg mid stream. Cant bite you in the water my arse! The sucka reared up 3' of that 6' like nothing, in water!

I felt like obe won kenobi! Just about broke him in half with the old loomis! ;)

Do you know they can hold their breath? Interesting...:D

Nice sheath Dwayne!!! I eventually chased up a small croc skin, cost me too....now I have to work out how to get it to you and more importantly, how to get it back to me!:grumpy:

So what legless lizard is it mojo?

Hey Guys! That skin is a brown whipsnake. A long thin creature with a very small head in relation to its body. Hoo boy, what I would'nt give for a couple of skins from a Brown and a Tiger!! Every time I see those specials on the Discovery Channel I start drooling :D ;) There are others like the Gaboon Viper and Puff Adder that I would give my left........well y'know:p

Thanks for the kind words fellas, that was the first sheath using a new leather dye, mahogany. Sure is a nice deep color.

What'd you do with that Tiger Gundy?? Bet that was an OMG experience! I've had Water Moccassins do the same thing! Fishing off shore on the rocks and one of them suckers comes up between the rocks and wraps around my buddies foot!! The snake was using his foot as an achor while he was trying to pull a fish off the stringer! Start with a stringer full of fish and end up with a stringer full of snakes!?

WOW!!! Another masterpiece from Dwayne... if any of you are thinking of getting leather Dwayne is a great guy to work with. I have three sheaths on order with him now and can't say enough about the quality of his work... you may have the greatest knife in the world (INFI of course) but you still need a good sheath in which to carry it!

I've never seen a "puff adder" but I caught a glimse of a nasty little Aussie bugger called a death adder a number of years ago and it was a nice and nastly looking snake. (Might be the same thing) My personal fav is Diamond Back (Eastern of course;) ) Nice sheath! Good score.

The puff adder is a European native, its particularly nasty because has the habit of staying put when a human approaches and not making a sound, well untill stepped on that is! When agitated it will puff up, hiss and throw a fit in general. Beautiful mottled scales though, looks like leaf litter. The Gaboon Viper is the prettiest of all to me and I want one as a pet so bad I can taste it, heavy bodied, and wonderfully colored and a good temperment. But it has the longest fangs of its speces.

I agree with you about the Diamondback, I had an eastern a while back (before my daughter was born;) ) Ill tempered little buugger! Struck at everything that moved, but it ate like a pig!:p I have a bunch of the "coon tail" skins, all different in some way, really nice patterns.

thanks Eric and Mtnclimber:D
