Hi HOGS.
I like the Cultellus and the Muskrat but I'd like to see a PD-like blade on a Busse knife in that same size range.
Input!!

I like my Muskrat. What are you thinking, something like a necker or pocket carry PD?

IMHO the Cultie is severely underrated and doesn't get nearly enough credit as a GREAT knife.

I'll give that big +1:thumbup:

Lycosa, there was no small Busse with a PD type blade. The Shiva Rex was in that size range, with a tanto point and serrated. I'm sure you remember it though.

what is the intended use for the Cultellus?

kind of looks like dining ware

Compared to most Busse's, it may look like a dining knife. But it is much more than that. I think it makes a great Bushcraft, hunting, fishing or general EDC knife. The straight handle gives you alot of cutting power, more so than the AD with the slight handle drop. I love them both, but prefer the Cultie for cutting task.

+1 for sure!

Your other post had me get out my Muskrat and start fondling it again, but
can't seem to carry it or use it.

I carry my WHC round town everyday

Culti !

The Culti is a great, little, straight-handled bird and trout. Think; "Dozier Canoe." It's super thin so you can get it ridiculously razor sharp! And it has enough belly to skin-out a little pelt. Mine actually replaced my GW because it's just better for small game. One of my three favorite fixed blade EDC.

I prefer the Cultie blade shape over the Muskrat.
The traditional Japanese kozuka blade shape, curved point, is just so...traditional.
Whatcha tink, Jerry??

The Shiva Rex was just too funkee for me. I just might have to grab a Cultellus.

BBT---Awesome knife!
Great BC knife and it doesn't have to be any bigger.

Everyone here has heard all the fawning over the SH-handled knives; the old SJ and BAIII's have shot up in price--and here you have a small, concealable little knife with the ergos and pros of a straight-handled knife in an extremely versatile and usable variation. It is easily my most often used Busse, and just an all-around homerun. And yet...it's pretty unsung. 5 years from now Trevor will be rich from all the Culties he got at Blade last year. :D

What was the Rockwell for the Culties? Mine seemed very hard. Was it higher? Like for the BAD's?
