So, I guess everyone already have made up their mind on what they’re ordering from the starter? Well, I haven’t... :-/ But now when Guy posted the 4.1 renderings I could finally make a comparison of the models I’m considerin. I hope it helps someone, I’m still having a hard time making up my mind, but I’m leaning towards the 3.5 and 4.7...

Nice work on this! Thanks for the nice visual. It will be awesome when we all have our new starter collections in our hands =)

I got a request on Facebook to add the 5, so here's a version with that and the 2.7 in case you missed it. Have a nice weekend everyone!

Very helpful. Thanks
I'm glad I picked up the 4.7 over the 5 for my purposes. More streamline, not as beefy. The 4.7 definitely looks like a good all arounder

ni1s, your awesomeness knows no bounds. Thanks for taking the time to do this. I've spent a lot of time looking over and comparing specs, but as they say: a picture is worth... 419... or a lot of... something or other...

Thanks Silver! What it doesn't show is the blade stock thickness which will influence how hefty the knife feels. But I think that's hard to portray with just a picture. :)

Excellent post!
Thanks a lot!
How about 7/7?! I'm seriously considering that one

I was hoping to snag a 5.0 when they come available, but this definitely makes me wonder if I should just go in for a 4.7...or both?

both..the answer is always both lol
also since 5 is going out of production, thats enough reason to grab one of the last ones!

haha thats a large part of why I bought two 3.5's when they came available (one as a factory second). For the price, and the "classic" survive! look they couldn't be beat. I'm excited about the new ergonomics as well, and i think I may wait for a revised 6.0 (I'm in the anti choil camp). probably gonna grab a classic 5.0 if i can....this is a healthy addiction right?

As a fellow addict I have to say yes, this is a very healthy addiction :p
I'm definitely grabbing a 5 (if I see the newsletter before they sell out)
Can always resell if I end up liking 4.7 better (at least that's what I tell myself..and end up not selling anything lol)

Leon is correct, when in doubt get both!

If you're planning on using it and can wait, the 4.7 is supposed to have improved dimensions and ergonomics.

Practically I don't think it would make sense to have 2 knives so close in specs. With that said I do want one of each to compare them... not sure what that says about me =)
