I bought a Large Classic Sebenza and have a little question, what steel does it have? Is there any possbility to check without the certificate?
The problem is, one scale says B01, the other one A02. So S30V was used since january 2002. Any chance to see if it's BG-42 or S30V?

The blade is satin with stonewashed flats, double lug in silver.

Does the blade have the "S" engraving on it next to the pivot hole ? If it does then it's S30V, if not then it could well be BG42. I don't know much about the finer points of the Classic Sebenza to be honest as I am very much a Regular guy.

I guess that's only to see if i dissamble the knife or not? This one was never dissambled before...

A classic with S30v steel will most likely have a C engraved next to the pivot.

Sorry for the partial hijack, but could help supplement
Is there a designation between ATS- 34 and BG-42?

ATS-34= ?
BG-42= ?
Classic S30V= C
S30V=S

S35VN= SV

I'll dissamble it the days and will take a look if i can find a "S" or a "C". Thanks for the answers.
