Have you ever noticed that different manufactureres will put the blades in different places? For example, I expect that the sheepsfoot and clip will be on one side, and the spey on another. But, when a punch is added, the spey replaces the sheepsfoot, and the punch replaces the spey. Ans some just move the blades around for the heck of it. Any thoughts?

I've noticed that at some point, Buck switched the Spey and Sheepsfoot blades on there Stockman patterns.

Older ones have the most common Clip/Sheepsfoot with opposing Spey, but somewhere in the late 80'/Early 90's they switched.

I think punchblade stockmen are just all over the place. On my Moore Maker PB Stockman, the punch replaces the sheepsfoot, period. On my Shapleigh PB Cattleman, the punch replaces the spey, period.
