I purchased a new sng a couple weeks ago. When i first got it, it was extremely stiff so I gave the pivot a shot of eezox (similar to CLP) and then cycled the knife about 1000 times. It got to the point where I could flick the knife open easily with my thumb.
Then, all of a sudden the action got super stiff a couple of days ago. Basically it sounds like metal on metal with no lube. I have not used the knife except to open a couple of boxes.
1. Should I just fight through this and not lube the pivot again and just keep cycling the knife?
2. Would lube actually lengthen or prevent the break in process?
3. What does strider recommend in terms of lubrication/maintenance ( the FAQ on their website is a dead link.)
