Purchased Strider SMF recently and all seems well except the flying penis. Did I make a mistake?

Looks real to me. I do not think that the NSN versions were copied by fakes. I could be totally wrong though. The detent hole looks to be drilled all the way through the blade which is a good indication it's real.

Send the pics into strider. They will verify it for you.

Man now that you posted that pick I the fake logo it looks a lot like the OP's logo. I say send pics into strider and let them look at it.

Logo on my old SMF.

Might have to zoom in but you can see both of them here. My old SMF and current SNG logo.

+1 on this; it looks legit to me as well.

Just took a close up pic of my DGG SNG for you to compare. But again, email strider and send pictures over. They will get back to you right away.

Looks real unless fakes have perfect logo. Logo on OPs is way different than the fake logo posted.

Nope, you did not make a mistake. On some of the older Striders, the sword was a little longer. Hardware finish is correct, blade finish is correct, pocket clip is correct. You did good.

This is why I'm getting my next Strider from a reputable dealer. I think the extra cost makes up for having any doubts about the authenticity of the knife.

Great, am much happier now.
Going to start looking for an SMF with a gunner grip now.

Looks to me like a "lame" stamp logo. Which is good to go. It is a real strider from what I see. Fakes are easy to spot once you know what to look for. Screws are on the G-10 side...not the ti side

Many of the fakes have the screws exactly how they are on the real ones. There are many many strider clones. Some are easier to spot. Others not so much.
