Inspired by all the threads on here I decided to strip my Izula today
The stripper sucked because it was the all natural indoor safe crap, but I live in an apt here in manhattan so really didnt have a choice - with a little scotchbright scrubbin the coating finally came off. Forced a patina with mustard and BBQ sauce with decent results - if I had sanded with some paper I think I would have seen much better results.
Overall I think it looks absolutely AWESOME and the pics do not do it justice - its a nice gun metal gray and with the micarta scales it just looks sick - like a knife that has seen years and years of use
I highly encourage you guys to take a leap and give it a shot :thumbup::thumbup:
