Just got second model out of powder metallurgy stainless high speed high carbon high tungsten high cromium high everything ... SRS-15 japanese steel (the one that average knife user can not sharpen... as I was told... for some reason, which I don't understand):

This one made of solid SRS-15 bar not laminated. Grind is convex full width, but close to flat. Handle and sheath better then on Bosen Enkuto on my opinion. Handle is actuall just great - comfortable and ergonomic - Kraton something like it. Probably most practical choise. Guard is good big solid. It is quite a bowie knife I suppose.

It is pretty big - 9 1/2" blade and handle is also quite long, which is very good IMHO. Here it is with ther big knives I have.

It looks similar to Knife Fighter but blade is widening to the tip. Sheath a almost same, handles are absolutely different however. And both pretty good.

This time it takes 8 day from sending money order to Seki-City to have it here.

I hope that Spyderco or Kershaw or somebody else who has good relation with Japanese knife manufacturers will start making their models out of SRS-15. And I'll be able to get folder out of it.

Sal, Tomas Pleeeeese....

Thanks, Vassili.

what is the top knife in the second pic with the stacked handle
thanks
It is russian Taiga (RosArms). Best in usability, ergonomic, balance and design on my opinion among big knives I have. Especially for chopping - it feels like it chops itself. However, steel is not super-duper - just premium soviet analog on 440C (composition in same range just Carbon 1.1% on the top and Cr 18%).

Most beautiful for sure.

But be carefull, this russian beauties can be addictive...

That is a sweet piece, Nozh. How much did it cost you?

Let say that it is in the Swamp Rat price range (like RatMastif which is same size or smaller?).

And no wait - 8 days from sending Inetrnational Money order to Japan to get it here (I am in California).

Thanks, Vassili.

It continue amaize me. After cleaning backyard from bushes, (which itself was enjoible) it continue to shave easyly without any difference. Again pretty good grip. I like it more and more. It very well may be "The Knife" for me at least.

Thanks, Vassili.

P.S. As I start understanding this knife was introduced in America in 2003 as an "Samurai Bowie" but for some reason only 440C version which does not really too mach different then many similar knives here, but the coolest one with SRS15 was not. It is really strange why such a good and almost perfect knife did not make its way here.

Thanks, Vassili.

P.S.S. Few more pics:
