I just noticed some machining marks on the lanyard hole on my Nyala. The side with the CR logo is finished, however te opposite side has machining marks. Has anyody else noticed this on their Nyala?

Really now ? You are actually asking about the marks on the chamfer of the lanyard hole ? What is it you're actually aiming for here with this ? It's a production knife that cost a couple of hundrad dollars, is it really that important ? I have hand made knives that cost $1000s that have small flaws. It's just part of knife life and is the norm. You could make a fuss and send it back if you want but the next knife will probably be just the same. It is no doubt within spec and those marks are present on the two Nyalas I have. Get over it.

I was just curious. I thought it was strange for one side to have marks and not the other. It doesn't bother me at all. Like i saoid I was just curious. It looks like one side was finished and the other wasn't. No need to be rude about it either.

I think there is at least a little need to be rude about it. There have been some totally ridiculous quastions asked in here of late, while yours is far from the worst I fail to see where you intended to go with this ?.....

I think for the type of knife it is, this is normal. I have one of the CRK kitchen knives and it has slight marks on it as well. Just the norm is all.

Btw, HAZE is a great guy, so I doubt he meant to come down on ya, I have done the same thing now and then when someone asks something that is asked a lot, but not everyone frequents the CRK forum on an hourly basis like some of us do, so things are bound to be missed like repeated questions and such. Hang in there...........I wanna get a Nyala one of these days. There have been a lot of recent posts about it and it has peaked my interest yet again. I think it would make a great hunting/camping/edc fixed blade. I am kinda on a sebenza kick as of late, so it will probably have to wait awhile longer.....lol.

All these Nyala posts made me have to go fetch mine and try it out in the kitchen... Cooked a rack of pork ribs tonight and used the Nyala to cut it up into individual ribs. It makes a great heavy duty, easy to handle kitchen knife, separated those ribs perfectly.
