I have reported this one twice, still up.

Time to report and conquer....

This one is trying to go for retail pricing!

This guy is a real butt shammy.

I particularly like the unfused ends on the lanyard. True craftsmanship.
 
I laughed when I saw the picture of the "box", looks like CRK has stepped it up in the packaging department. :confused: :D
 
I think he should be inundated with "best offers" of $ .02 .... well, at least that's my 2 cents!
 
The sad part is ebay never really does anything...I've reported and then contacted CRK about items numerous times and they always seem to stay up and they always come back...

Very true. I've reported fake listings over and over, and they STAY UP. Very frustrating....
 
I've bought several CRK's either from dealers or here on the trader forum, so I've handled them many times. I have to admit that except for the obvious box difference I would look at those sebenza pics and not be sure immediately it was a fake. I know the 'made in idaho' stamp is missing, but what else makes it clear that its fake?

It is disgusting that people try to pass of fakes as genuine.
 
Look closely at the lanyard pin and the back of the thumb stud. They will be clearly different from the real thing. Additionally, look towards the blade tang .... clearly different from the genuine Sebenza .... too much exposed from the scales. Oh .... also the torx heads rather than hex.

You also have a guy selling two regulars (with a starting bid of $1) that look fake to me. It never ends and looks to get worse before it gets any better.
 
Hmmmm .... saw today that his two listings were STILL there. I again reported them to Ebay .... but also sent this to the seller:

What's the deal here (in multiple listings). You are listing this as a CRK
large Sebenza 21. It is not. It is clearly a counterfeit, probably
Chinese. The obvious giveaways are: Incorrect blade, incorrect thumb stud
and lanyard pin, incorrect screws, and incorrect pocket clip, incorrect box.
And, you indicate that "Our listings are designed to honestly represent what is
being offered for sale."

He responded to me a short time later that he was (supposedly) selling them for a client and had no idea. He took them down (well, for now). Keep your eyes open boys and girls!
 
Update ....

Received another reply from the seller:

Thank you. I just spoke with my client and he is very angry. He bought them
from his brother. Started a family fight! Again, thanks for you time and
expertise. I work real hard to do things right, and I don't like getting
fooled. Unfortunately, you can't be an expert on everything you sell. Have

Could it be that he was genuinely duped? I don't know. You decide. I know I couldn't have made up a story like that on such short notice. Then again, that's me!
 
I won't be buying ANY CRK's from EBay.....EVER.

If I can't get it from one of the guys/gals on here, or an authorized dealer, then I don't need it.
