Found a new use for my Spyderco Police : Ripping through drywall! went to house where a woman smelled smoke and her fire alarm system was going off, was several min ahead of the fire dept. turns out that the fire alarm system had a short in it and the wiring was burning (smoldering, no actual flames yet) found the place where it was in the wall, cut power to the house cut small hole in drywall and disconnected and removed the faulty box that was smoking, sealed up the bare wires and presto all fixed. Turns out the woman’s fire alarm had been going off for about 5 hours???????? She set it off while cooking and didn’t know how to reset it, so the thing kept going off and going off, and somehow it seems overheated and had begun to smoke. I guess it would have eventually caught fire. Wouldn’t that be nice: House burnt down by the system that’s supposed to warn you of a fire. Now if I could just have a screwdriver built into my Spydie Police it would be perfect !.
