Another useful gizmo from the thrift shop

While I was there last week I bought a couple of glasses cases for 40 cents each. These are hard cases of the "clamshell" type with spring loaded lids so they tend to stay shut pretty well. Seems to me like they will make good containers for some spare .22 ammo or basic survival goodies, and will fit easily into a back pocket. They're in very good condition and they even look nice with a brown fake alligator hide appearance to them. Somebody else might find a similar use for cases like this, too. They must be available cheap just about everywhere you look. :D

I use the zipper kind for nice folders that have pouches. (Keeps the lint, dirt, and drool off.)

You just can't beat thrift shops for odds and ends that you need. (or don't need) I recently bought a pair of black Rayban Aviator sunglasses and somehow misplaced the case. The next time I was in the local thrift store I found a box full of sunglass cases, went through them and found the exact case I needed for .25 cents... Now here's the kicker - when I got back to my truck I was looking through the junk I bought and opened the sunglass case and there was a brand new pair of gold framed Rayban Aviators in it - not a scatch on them anywhere. Easily, my biggest bargain buy of the year. :D :D
