Hey all you bladeforum people. This will be my first official thread.
I wanted to ask the opinion of all of you out there. I have a few folding knives, all of them are around the $20-$40 range.
For example my Ontario RAT 1 or my Spyderco Tenacious or CRKT drifter so on and so forth. The blade I find myself using the most is actually the blade on my Leatherman Charge AL. I like how the 154cm keeps an edge.
I want to get a folding knife that keeps an edge just as well or better for around the same price as the Leatherman was.
I pretty much want to upgrade to a nicer folding knife so I can better focus on my fix blade collection.
SO bladeforum, I want a knife with good quality blade steel, tip up carry, very smooth opening, and somewhere between 3-4" blade length.
All for around $50-100.
Suggestions?

spydie manix 2 is 154cm smooth as butter opening and great fit and finish; bm griptilian has a great feel to and to be honest i kinda like it better than my manix 2 (maybe just honeymoon phase :D) ; bm barrage has sweet assisted opening full steel liners if your into that and 154cm oh and i think theyre all tip up; if you can find a g10 endura or delica for the price range i'd buy that vg10 steel similar if not better than 154cm any carry you want with a great quality

That's a great idea... I've wanted an Endura for a while but I always thought the ZDP version was $100+

Yes, it is a great idea. Time to close the thread:D

Seriously, many places on line have this for 90 bucks. It is a SUPER value for those seeking a knife works in a class WAY above its appearance.

The only downside is some people lack the ability to sharpen it once it finally gets dull.

I definitely like Benchmades. Though it seems most of their knives are out of my price range.
I don't think sharpening will be a problem. I use the sandpaper/mousepad followed by a strop method. From what i've read it works rather well.

Benchmade Griptilian is 154CM and can be had for under $100. Knifeworks would give you a good price, use their coupon.

I ordered a Spyderco Delica 4 ffg with VG-10 steel (comparable to 154cm) last week for $53

For Just above $100 is the Spyderco Para 2, just about perfect for what it is
