Can't decide guys. I'm torn between:
Para2
Military
Techno

And a crk, probably large 25 or um umnumzaan.

I definitely don't have the budget for a crk, but I'm pretty sure it would check all of my boxes. If I decided to get a crk I'd basically have to swear off new knives for at least 6 months.

The other knives above, I'd like them all at some point. Right now I have an itch for a new edc that's not completely terrifying to the general public. Getting ready to change jobs, and I have a feeling I'm going to have to stop carrying around my spyderco Farid k2. So which direction should I go? Help me out!

Get a Paramilitary 2, then get some custom wood scales made for it so it doesn't alarm the sheeple. The Paramilitary 2 is a great EDC, and you won't have to swear off new knives!

Manix 2 LW S110V

Excellent for EDC, excellent steel, great lock, good ergos, sheeple friendly.

How about a Lionsteel TRE. Small, M390 steel and bearings.

Go big or go home!

If you're at the point where you "want" one, AND can justify the purchase, even if it means 6mos. Of self control (maybe buy a couple sub $20 Knives in that span just to satisfy the itch), I say go for the crk...

Worst case scenario, you hate it, sell it LNIB for a minimal loss, and buy a spydie (or2) you have listed... Best case scenario its the best knife you ever owned... Its a Win/win, you really can't lose...

Actually already have a manix LW in BD1. It's definitely going to be in the carry rotation, but for some reason I seem to actually get more reactions to that knife than I do to several other larger ones I've got. Not sure why.

The Techno is the most expensive but it is also more practical for every day carry for what you would expect a knife to do in the office, at home, at the shop, etc. The other two are much larger. My next choice would be the PM2, though the Millie would be a great choice.

I'm liking this thought process.

So here's where I am. I'm stuck on the paramilitary right now. My higher quality, medium size edc rotation could use one more spyderco. And I'm stuck on the paramilitary right now.

So I'm going to go ahead and buy a paramilitary, I can purchase it now, and It would be a great project knife for some custom scales and possibly convexing, stone washing or something to personalize it.

I'm swearing off of new knives after this one. I think it is time for me to start saving up for a sebenza. It's time.

Good points. This is why I'll probably never stop buying knives lol. Also why the techno was on my list to begin with. But I'm a large knife guy, and I know that if I choose the techno, I'll still be searching out the large knives in my collection at least half the time.

Love my PM2! Although I feel like it's still pretty intimidating to most sheeple, particularly the blade shape.

My .02 cents.... I'm an electrician working in a million square ft office building in Cleveland Ohio. I've EDC'd most popular folders over the years, and have pretty much EDC'd a Techno for the last 4yrs now. It doesn't alarm the office people, it's built like a tank, and the lock up is rock solid and the lock bar hasn't moved since I bought it in 2011. I also EDC a Native 5 ,which I don't consider large, but not only did that freak out the sheeple, it freaked out fellow construction workers:eek: So the Native pretty much became my after hours or weekend carry EDC. I also just purchased a ZT 0450, and this is a smallish knife, but the blade still freaked some people out...so I may end up flipping this for a ZT 900, or DPx Heat a couple other little tanks, that will keep the sheeple calm.
Anyways the Techno has really proven itself to me, not the greatest slicer, but man it does everything I need it to do in my trade, and if I could only have one it would be the Techno. Good luck with whatever u decide to get.

Basically I need to get the techno, pm 2, and at least 2 CRK's (small 21, then a large 21 or 25). This is the only good answer to my problem.

I bought a Spyderco Kiwi 4 in June. I have been using it and really like it. I think it might be a tad over priced for VG-10, but I really like the feel of the knife and honestly it would do just about all the cutting I need done on an everyday basis. I however also carry a SAK or occasionally a large traditional slip joint. These are all sheeple friendly for the most part.

I have always liked my Spydie Native 4 also. It is just a good solid knife for edc use.

I think you'd find it well worth it to save up for a CRK, but if you MUST scratch that itch of yours, I say do with the techno.
