Did a local hike today that I hadn't done in a while.
Plenty of wild edibles around, I didn't take pics of the common ones such as Dandelions and plantain etc as you all know what they look like.
Spotted some oyster mushrooms but couldn't get to them~

Lots of Salmonberries but hardly any ripe ones, the birds will even eat these before they are ripe~

A closer look, glasswort, pickleweed or marsh samphire, pick off the tips and eat em raw....great little trail snack. There are other ways to eat these, a quick look on google will give ya more info !

On my way back I came across some spotted coralroot.
Several Native American groups historically used the orchid's stems dried and brewed as a tea for such maladies as colds, pneumonia, and skin irritation.
