I got to go out and spend some time out in the trees today! It was nice and refreshing to get out, have some fun and play with cutlery!
A nice view before i left the trail and went my own way. Then proceeded to drop my camera in the snow..So now my pics are half a$$ blurry..i'm sorry dudes...
I dont like squirrels, but they taste pretty good with the right seasonings...
Winter wonderland..iit was a balmy -14 C today
High bush cranberries are nice and sweet after the first frost falls..
I brought my RC 4 along to compare against my spyderco bushcraft
Another winter wonderland pic
I found a nice little spot under a spruce tree that provided cover from elements. I took some bark from a dead cotton wood to keep my fire off of the cold frozen ground and proceeded to collect some kindling and firewood from dead standing timber. I used my Buck saw and my wetterlings wildlife hatchet for these tasks.
I used the heartwood from some of the firewood i cut for feathersticks, i used the bushy for this.
More coming!!!
