Rode all the way to North Vancouver, and hit the Seymour river trails.
stopped to take a picture of the old Twin Bridge, before the District of North Van destroys it (they like to destroy anything of heritage)
sat down on a rock, facing into the sun. Sparkly water!
spotted a mallard (?) preening himself:
Time for a cup of vegetable broth!
boiling water for the SS water bottle, for the ride home:
boiled water in SS bottle, chilling in the river. Note the lanyard....
had my SAK Rescue Tool with me, did an art shot:
using the SAK Rescue to saw a stick end:
although the saw on the SAK Rescue is actually meant for automobile safety glass, it works fine on wood:
making a walking stick, the blades i had with me: (SAK Rescue, Idaho Knife Works Hunters Companion, Fallknifen A1 with custom scales and sheath (Thanks Dfilgate!), and my Scrapyard Knives S5) check out the nice patina on the Idaho Knife works knife....i used tomato paste and left it on overnight.
