Can't say enough about these great little knives...just ordered another one. I just attatched a bsa hotspark and a ceramic rod to the kydex neck sheath....The spine of the blade creates a shower of sparks off the hotspark rather easily....As a side not I was wondering if anyone knows what ype of grind this knife has.

it's well worth it...the blade is a little thin, but for it's purpose as a cutter it is awesome shaving sharp out of the box...aus-8 ss blade full tang 30 bucks with kydex sheath, 20 w/ a leather one and ready for this....10 dollars by itself...especiall with your affinity for "back to basics knive I would highly reccomend it paired witha chopper and a folder you're set..IMO it's the Mora for edc...like a pairing knife on performance enhancing drugs, as I mentioned I'm making a small neck knife psk around mine

This is one of those deals thats just to good to pass up. Ten bucks for a knife thats just sick. I like this little knife so much that I have been thinking of using them to replace the accessory knives on my Khukuri. Have a few other ideas on the same line with some of my big Bowie's.
A.J.R. is a class company to deal with as well.

funny you should mention that mike I've been thinking about a piggy back sysytem with my woodswaler and my machete

From the AG Russell picture of where the blade meets the ricasso (and guessing based on the thickness of the steel) I'd say it's probably taper ground. It could be V-ground. Tough to tell from AG's photos.

Just checked the woodswalker is flat ground.
I've been using the piggy back rigs since I started making kydex sheaths a few months ago. I've got a modified cold steel bushman and a SAK in a kydex that I'm real happy with.
The little knives that came with my Khukuri are about worthless, but the woodswalker fit right in there. Guess I need two more woodswalkers.
Then I've been thinking about my old Bolo that I have been carrying for 30 years. A new Kydex with a woodswalker and a fire steel built in would be a great combo. Good thing these little knives are a bargain.

A machete and one of those woodswalkers or a mora is a HECK of a lot of knife (knives?) for the money.

I just cut down a cheap Harbor Frieght machete and am rehandling it... the steel is ok but good lord, that plastic handle was hideous! Anyway I have a chunk of steel left from it that I think will make a nice piggy-back for it...
