So...what do you think about the Kobra? It is billed as HI's lightest and most self-defense oriented khukri.

It is lighter than the sirupati, then...is it strong enough? What do you use yours for?

I was thinking about getting one. I like how the buttcaps are attatched on the larger models.

Either that or a larger BDC.

25" to clear brush and, more recently, dice beer cans and plastic milk jugs. Lots of fun. I was thinking about getting another, then the sirupati sale started, and...well...you can imagine how that ended up.

I'd love to get one of these babies in 30", though.

I've heard it's a bad idea to cut hard targets with one of these. That being said I've done it a few times. It handles saplings just fine. I'm not planning on hitting a full-sized tree with it.

The longer models kind of remind me of the elfen swords in LOTR.

Even if they aren't practical, they're still beaughtifully shaped.

I like kobras...kobras don't like me. I am too brutish...don't have the skill to wield a kobra. I am more of a Tarwar, Maglight, hammer

and baseball bat kind of guy.

I wish I could justify even one in my collection...but I can't.
