.....have been ordered and will be here next week! Since the ZT0200 first came out I've had 9 of them. I've sold/traded them and only have one left, a ZT0200KW, and I reshaped the blade to a semi wharncliffe on that one. It works neatly for what I want it to do, which is cut/score drywall.

But I want one that was untouched..........by me. This one will stay stock as it comes. It will be carried and used, but no reshaping shall it suffer!:) The only change will be to remake the original clip into a foldover, deepcarry, clip, as I did my other one.

I've also been wanting to try out a ZT0160 and ordered one of these along with the 0200. I really like the simple lines on this knife and it will see some use. More excited about getting it than the 0200.:) I can't find the blade thickness on this one, but I think it is .160" thick. Anyone know?

Please, please, please include both pictures of the regrind and the deep carry clip. My interest is piqued.

Yes, I've got a 200 coming and if there's a good deep clip, I'd be very interested. Oddly, I just mentioned wanting a 160 also...

Crappy Blackberry pics, but you can get the idea. The foldover clip for the new 0200 wil not rise above the handle like this one does. I use the original clip it comes with, and my hand torch to make it a foldover. That is black 3M Stair Step tape it is covered with.

Here's the regrind. I used a dremel tool, a bucket of water, and a lot of time, so that I would not ruin the heat treat of the blade. It sharpens up like a razor and holds it as long as it did before the reshape.

I will definately be back to tell you about the 0160. I've read where some folks think it to be uninspired, but I think it is very nice, and very simple, and what more could you really ask for?!?!

A little background on the 0160 - it was designed to be a solid, simple fighting/utility knife for soldiers. Just the right size, not too heavy, but stout enough to be tough, and at an affordable price point. The pointed pommel can be used for "control positions" by pressing it into pressure points, or as a skullcrusher. The simple, straight handle is comfortable in multiple grips, and the profile won't create any hot spots. Look at the straight handle on an axe or a hammer sometime. Opinions of it's appearance will vary, but it's worth noting that a good amount of thought went into the design.

It's not one of my designs, I'm just repeating what I was told. It's always cool to know the concept behind something.

Thank you very much for the insight into this design. When I first saw it, I thought it was surprisingly 'classical' for ZT and had more interest in the 100 or 170. After reading more and seeing reviews (not to mention the price difference with the 100 and the 170 being too long for Texas), the 160 is on the top of my ZT list, followed by a 350. I have to start with lower cost ones first. I just received my 200 today.

It's a funny, funny thing, or perhaps just odd, but even though I've had a BUNCH of ZT0200's, I am still as excited to get the one I just ordered, as I was to get my first!:)

This is such a fantastic knife, and also a fantastic value:thumbup:, that I can't wait for it to arrive and to get to hold it and cut with it. Even though I still have the wharncliffe ZT0200, pictured above, I still find myself looking forward to the new one.:)

And not to forget, the ZT0160 will also be in the package, and this will be my first one of thgis knife.......another reason to be excited!!

I still have not seen what the blade thickness is on the 0160. Nowhere on the online stores give a blade thickness, and from the pics of the handle, on the underside, it appears to have a thickness greater than the .125" (1/8") of the ZT0170. So does anyone have it and know the blade thickness?

Of course by tomorrow I will know firsthand as the UPS tracking has it arriving tomorrow!:thumbup:::)

Damn, I'm excited.......

I just have to say that Kershaw keeps upping the bar. I'm amazed everytime I take the ZT0200 into my hand, and flip it open. And even though the one I received yesterday is the 10th one I've had, I still get that amazing feeling of how well everything works together on this knife, and how much I love the design.

It looks like the newer ZT's, mine is ser. # 4449, have a frosted look to the liners that I don't remember seeing on any of the others I've had. As I said above, in my op, I only have two now, and that is counting the new one. The blade sits inside the handle perfectly centered, just like the other 9 I've had did. Of all the different brands of knives I've had that I had duplicates of the same model, the ZT0200 is without a doubt the most consistently built folder I've ever seen!

The only thing I did to this knife was "fix" the pocket clip. Here's another one of my crappy Blackberry pics. It is fuzzy, but I tinkered with the edit and I think you can get an idea of the clip. I also cut it down to 1.0" in length. It still does a superb job of clipping on the pocket lip and staying there.
