I call this one the O.F.F. (Overbuilt Friction Folder, I know, I`m a nerd).

Here it is with a standard Friction Folder.

Standard - 4 1/4" closed, 7 3/8" open.
O.F.F. - 5" closed, 9" open
.

The O.F.F. features 1/8" titanium liners, and 3/16" micarta handles, and bronze washers (all Friction Folders now feature these), with a blade 5/32" thick.
Note the last screw towards the rear. This is a knurled thumb screw which can be removed and threaded through the tang to effectively convert the knife into a fixed blade.

Thanks! If it catches on and people like it I will be offering them for sale.

Looks good man. Love the scandi grind!

get crazy with it John and make the opening part on it a bottle opener :)

That looks like it belongs in every working man's jeans pocket.
Great looking cutting tool, John.
I love the idea of the extra screw. I hope you have a patent pending on that.;)

I just received one of your older friction folders in a trade and that thing is built like a tank, I think you could do a folding (viKtum) without liners and i couldn't break it. great work, the new knife looks amazing.

Very interesting concept.

I like that idea - the ability to lock it closed.

It would be extra cool if that pin was spring loaded, and permanend - so that when it was opened, it would engage and lock, then you could pull it out and unlock it to close it.

Friction LocK.

Oh well - a guy can dream.

Nice work Mr. K!

best
