I am still like a deer in the headlights after seeing, being smitten by, the colorful and terrific BCCI newsletter knives so I can't focus on much else.

I got my son a red paperstone big carving set with the discount last year, celebrated the birth of his first son Henry so they call those knives Henry's knives, and now every time I use his cutlery I get the itch for a set of my own. They are that nice looking, handy and useful. The dishwasher doesn't seem to mess with them and I feel like a king using those steak knives that came with it. I'm with you about the resent newsletter, and I was looking at the thirteen piece cutlery set but was considering the rosewood handles , but it's not available in a 13 piece so instead I pulled the trigger on 2 Boone & Crocket knives the 121 and the 118 . So now that the new year is here and I have two more knife purchases will Buck Knives sell the butcher block bye itself than I'll purchase a six piece set and a steak knife set to get the full cutlery set in rosewood . That Red Paperstone set is looking good Oregon is that a factory picture , Thanks Driggert BCCI # 2149 .

I have looked at this set a few times oregon. Is there any chance you could take the set out of the block and post a pic please.

Much too good a photo to have come from me. Borrowed from Buck. :) My Son's set is miles away and up high in a cabinet since there are kids running, crawling and getting into everything.

This cutlery set is a bold and manly set of knives. No half measures and nothing held back. Knives confidently built with cutting success in mind.

This is what I got last year. I fell in love with the Elk set as soon as I saw it. I was amazed when I set up my account at Buck and saw that I could better reach this set. Thank you Buck and BCCI.

I haven't used it yet, it resides in the center of my display case. I plan to retire to the Adirondacks in a few years. I think that would be the place to use such a fine set. The workmanship is fantastic. I could not be more pleased with this set.

That's beautiful elk and your photos will keep me going all day so THX. You got the steel in your set.

Andirondacks: I stayed in a cabin in the woods there for a few days, hiked and canoed. The most excellent place. Unlike here, no endless tracts of clear cut trees and no constant barrage of air traffic from above. So many bodies of water you can canoe seemingly forever with tiny portages. Top drawer plan you have for retirement and that cutlery fits right in. WTG

After several tries I have never been able to get logged on. Been in touch with Joe Houser and other people at Buck to clear it up and no luck.

So, I have just written that program off.

You've got mail.

I ordered 2 the last day of the year and checked the next day to find 2 more at my disposal:D what a country:)

I figger on the B&C Alpha folder if it ever comes available and a player to be named later.

I'm thinking of getting a couple of 113's to play with.
And definitely getting a few more of the bench stones! They are awesome.

I put off last years right up until the end and got my wife the red paperstone spreader and small paring knife. I wanted to get her the elk as I eventually would like to get the whole elk set when things get a bit better. But they don't sell the elk individually.

If you lasted until the last day of last year you have way more will power than I:D

After using the small diamond dual grit pocket stone, I'm definitely tempted to get the larger ones. I wish they made one in fine grit though.

That should've said last of the year, as they came just in time for Christmas. I couldn't decide as I really wanted the elk set but just couldn't justify spending the money this year.

I must be jaded a bit. I've been through the web site catalog front to back three times so far this new year and I can't find a single thing I want?

Perhaps I'll go for one of the paperstone cutlery sets. I might actually use them. Last year I bought the elk set, but just can't bring myself to use them.

Stunt, I have the red one, med grit, it is great for quickly putting a real nice working edge on EDC knives.

Its not will power so much as I really really really wanted that boone and crockett Alpha Hunter in 2012 so I could covet something different in 2013.
