I am aware that BUSSE handle and sheath issues are being discussed in four threads on this forum right now.
In an attempt to consolidate the answers to all of the questions posted on the forums and those I have received privately via e-mail, I present the following information:
SHEATHS
1) The leather sheaths are NOW shipping with the Mean Street and Badger Attack models. If you order one from me or Busse directly, the sheaths are leather for those models right now.
2) Battle Mistress and Steel Heart sheaths remain Kydex until supply runs out...they will probably be shipping with leather starting 2nd quarter.
3) Current owners of Busse Badger Attacks and Mean Streets can order a leather sheath for their knife right now, if they wish. Your knife will fit like a glove.
4) Leather is the standard sheath and Cordura/Kydex is the option. Busse Combat will not be offering a choice at point of order. If a customer wants the Cordura/Kydex, it must be ordered optionally and an additional cost.
HANDLES
1) The new handle design is NOW on the Mean Street...all Mean Street orders I have received and that are placed with Busse Combat or me directly will have the new handle...Diamond Quilted Micarta, Tube Fittings (enhancing shearing resistance 3 times over the bolts), and Ergonomic Design.
This applies to the limited over-run of Desert Warfare Mean Streets also...The new handle will be on the other models by 2nd quarter.
2) Badger Attack, Steel Heart II, and Battle Mistress handles remain unchanged at the moment, with the exception of the new Tube Fittings. The new handle can be expected on these models 2nd quarter.
