I just picked up an Antelope Hunter. Great knife, but I'm a little confused. The box says this is an Antelope Hunter II. The knife has all the features of the Antelope Hunter II. The sheath is black leather, pouch-style with a shiny snap. It looks like the sheath you'd get with a Buck 119. However, the blade is marked AUS-8A along with China. I know that the Antelope Hunter II is made of 8Cr13MoV, not AUS-8. So, which knife do I have?

According to Kershaws website, both the Antelope Hunter and Antelope Hunter II are made with 8cr13Mov. Not sure where the AUS-8 comes in.

Old thread, but they were indeed AUS8 up to a certain point, then the 8Cr13MoV for some time now. You must have gotten some "new old stock".

I have one in my hand, very clearly says "KAI 1028 8Cr13MoV" on blade and Kershaw molded into handle. Oddly doesn't say "China" on it anywhere, though it is indeed still made there. This one came in hang package.
