Since the recent shootings the Clinton administration has come up with PSA (Public Service Announcements) that are being shown on TV across the country. I saw the first one yesterday. It spent most of its time demonizing KNIVES. (ie, not a direct quote. "I was so scared, Johnny had a knife in his backpack" )
They spent 2/3 of the time demonizing knives before they even got to guns.
What can we do? Who writes this Sh*t?

It's easier to get forgiveness than permission.

WTF!!!!!!!

It'll be a real B!^$# to spread peanut butter with a fork or cut a steak with a spoon!!!

So who gets to honor of peeling the meat off the thanksgiving turkey?

When knives are outlawed, will only outlaws eat steak?

We live in sad times,

Chris

Is that where these lame comercials are coming from, it's government sponsored? Bloody hell...

I've seen these things too, you know, considering that these don't reflect the views of a large portion of the population, at least 3,200 upstanding citizens anyway, you'd think the government couldn't legaly sponsor a smear ad like this.

This isn't like trying to turn people off to things that are already illegal, like drugs or under age smoking and drinking, this is propaganda aimed directly at persuading people to try and outlaw something that is legal, and in fact pretty handy.

It'd be one thing to have a referendum on it or something, but to try and program people through a media barage... that's pretty messed up.

They already did this in Spain actualy. I recently exchanged some e-mail with a bookseller who commented that they'd "forgotten just how big navajas were. First they discouraged their use in the schools(as in the teachers propagandized to the students), then they reduced the maximum legal size, and finaly banned them".

Considering this is a blatant attempt at mind control, I'd think you could really rake them over the coals if you had a political lobbyist group acting on your behalf...
