I just ordered my first hawk from ATC. I thought I had one but the dealer did not tell me at first that the were not in stock. I decided to go straight to the source and order a Next Generation Ranger Spike Hawk. Suzanne was very helpful on the phone and could'nt have been nicer. Looks like the waiting game is on. Any info on these or tips for when I get it would be appreciated.:D
 
Congrats on ordering an NG Ranger, I hope you get it soon (but not sooner than me :D )

What are you planning to use it for? Throwing, camping, military use or just to hang it on your wall? :D You should also get an original Roger's Rangers Spike Hawk and a Vietnam Tactical! They are amazing!
 
Thanks Rob. I actually plan on getting those as well but thought I would start with this one to check them out. I plan on throwing, chopping, digging, hunting, camping, and just pretty much seeing what these things are all about. I have been lurking over here for a little while and finally decided I had to have one.
 
Well, it sounds like you will get a lot of use out of the NG Ranger. I'm waiting for mine as well but I already have some ATC hawks so I know what good quality they are. I can't wait for the NG though! I know it will be the best. Everyone says it is! Every time or two that I go out and throw my hawks I put tung oil on the head. I hear that helps keep it in great shape.
 
Go for the Vietnam tactical next. It will make for a nice set. The next generation handles give you so much control you won't believe it! The wait is worth it. Don't forget about the lagana T3. Titanium hawk head, Next generation handle, a tomahawk on steroids!

If you don't know about lanyards, do some research. There is always someone on the forum willing to help out in that department.

Thanks Running Bear. I took a look at some of the posts on the lanyards. I will definetly be adding one. I am sure I will be ordering a Vietnam Tac soon as I get a look at the NG Ranger Spike.
 
The T3 is light and small and works well in the marine environment - wouldn't seem practical for me at its price for hunting, camping and throwing. Since you're gonna already have a 21st century tomahawk - and the best at that - you should try the original RR Spike, oldschool. I like the heavier head weight and it feels a lot different from the VN Tac or Ng Ranger. Eventually you'll probably have all 3 so I guess you just have to decide order! Good luck :D
 
I am sure about the titanium one. Its not to damp here in AZ to really warrant the cost but when I head over to the Blade show in June and see one who knows what may happen. ATC DOES take VISA:D

Well now he only has one left then its back order time again! Just thought I would let you guys know. This should help with the wait for the NG Ranger Spike.:cool:
 
Congratulations! There is one thing about those Vietnam tacticals. You will have a really hard time putting it down! It's like your sick. I call it ATC fever. As a matter of fact I'm not feeling to good. WHERE IS MY TOMAHAWK! IT'S MINE! GIVE IT TO ME! See what I mean. I have two hawks right now. When I get all the hawks I have ordered, I'll have four total. The way I look at it is I'll probably have the hawks till I die and pass them on when I'm gone.

The really neat thing about them is they require nothing to make them work. No matter how old they get, they still work.
Oh no! Not again! AHHHHH! :mad: WHERE IS MY HAWK! I WANT IT NOW! That's better. As I was saying all they need is a hand to hold them. I'm sure when you get yours you will soon after become a hawk nut too. WHERE IS MY HAWK! Oh. There it is. Keep in touch.

I NEED TWO! ONE FOR EACH HAND! WHAT! NO LANYARD! EAT TOMAHAWK DEATH! THERE"S NO TOMAHAWK COMPLETE WITH OUT A LANYARD! WHAT DO YOU THINK THE HOLES FOR! Wow! I don't know were that came from. Northstar maybe you should send my NG ranger before AHHHHHHHH! I HAVE ANOTHER HAWK ATTACK! Make it stop Andy, make it stop.
 
No. These things just happen. Birds fly into windows, dogs crap in the grass you step in it, cows are thrown buy tornados and are impaled on trees. Then I wonder? Will buffy the vampire slayer ever dust a bad one with an ATC hawk? The medication is gone. Suzanne send more medication. Will the maddness end?

If any of you have not taken a look at the custom ranger hawk picture, do it now. It's one bad ass looking hawk that someone already bought. It looks native american to me.
 
SWEET! The big brown truck of joy was just here and had my Vietnam Tactical. This thing is just cool as hell! I can't wait to "Play" with it. Now I have somthing to help pass the time while I wait for its bigger brother to arrive. Thanks ATC and thanks to Phil at 2thehilt for getting it to me so fast.:D
 
Just an FYI - we have lanyards! They're ready to attach and come with color instructions. These are hand-tied from GI 7-Strand Paracord. I'll check and see which colors we have in stock - right now they come in OD Green, Black and a OD/Black Blend. All you have to do is feed them through and tie them off and you have an AWESOME lanyard and they look beautiful on the hawks.

Give me a call if you're interested and I'll check to see what we've got in stock. If we don't have it I'll get it. We're also experimenting in some different colors. I'll keep you posted. Any requests?
 
I have a request. Suzanne send pain killers. I mean the good ones too. not the wussy ones. I want knock you out for three days pain killers. The worst part is my wife is hiding my hawks. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
