Anticipation

I'm getting the Benchmade Griptilian 550 with olive drab handles (black is getting old, fast!), satin finish, plain edged. I just can't wait though! The semi-Spyderhole, my first AXIS lock, all of the rave reviews I've heard thus far. So now I ask anyone with one to make me less patient by posting what they think of it!

I just got the exact same model for my birthday, and I love it! I got it for the same reasons as you, great reviews, liked the blade shape, liked the opening hole, wanted a change from the boring black handles, and wanted to try an axis lock. It more than met all my expectations, and the axis lock is awesome! My only qualm is that I think an uncoated clip should accompany the uncoated blade. I'm torn, though, because the black clip is less noticeable on dark pants. I think I'm gonna wait until it starts to rub off, then take off the rest of the coating. Hope you like it and it comes soon!

Never had one, never even picked one up to hold it, but I don't remember EVER reading anything negative about this knife! I do believe you got yourself a winner!!

JcClaude42: Thanks for the review! Luckily, I don't have any problem with the black coated clip. In fact, when the coating on the clip of my Delica started wearing off and i polished it off, I regretted it! The silver clip makes it looks somewhat cheesy next to the blade.
