First, let me start this post by saying that I know my chances are incredibly slim. Now that that's out of the way...

I am so excited about Blade. If I'm one hundred percent honest the only two reasons that I am making the trek down to the show are to see my friend (from long ago) Dylan Fletcher and to purchase an XM-18. I've been drooling over them for months and I feel that I NEED one. Unfortunately, I won't make it down on Friday for the lottery but I will be there early as possible Saturday to secure to my tickets.

Being as this is my first Blade Show and I will have the possible opportunity to purchase what has become my dream knife, I'm becoming incredibly anxious. I'm really looking forward to meeting the Hinderer staff as well. In 5 days, I'll be in knife Utopia and I can't wait. For those also attending, if you see a ridiculously fat guy spending way too much time at the hinderer booth, say hello!

It has been said that Life is what happens between events. Certainly being excited and filled with anticipation is a wonderful thing.
Go with your sights set on meeting new folks and reuniting with old friends, let the rest take care of itself.
Meeting rick and Rob and the guys is worth the trip in and of itself. Wish I was going to be there as well.
Enjoy.

Im really looking forward to meeting you and hope you stop be the booth! Actually the odds of scoring in the lottery are pretty good this year. With the amount of knives that we have your odds are about 1 in 10..if we had out all the tickets..

I think you meant you won't be there on Friday?

I completely understand the anticipation. Felt it big time last year as I missed the first lottery and only had a slim chance in the Saturday one. So many people, so few knives. At least that is the perception. As names are called your heart sinks with each one that is not yours. Grueling. But I know of no better way to get a truly great knife.

The true bonus is getting to speak with these guys face to face. Kind of humbling at first, then you realize they are very pleasant and knowledgable folks willing to give you their time. Very cool. Looking forward to this year more than ever.

Good luck.

I know how you feel! I'll be there at 12 Friday and the Hinderer booth will be my first stop! I won't make any purchases at all until after the lottery. I like 1 in 10 odds...

Wow. Wasn't expecting a reply from the man himself! Thanks Rick. Those odds sound better than I had hoped. Fingers crossed.
