I found this old lockback knife in my Grandad's belongings. Can anyone tell me what it is. I don't know how to post a picture of it.
Thanks Rich.

Without any information whatsoever, no, no one can tell you what your knife is.

To post a picture, you need to upload it through something like photobucket. Then, click the 'Insert Image' button on your text box, enter in the address, and submit your post. Alternatively, you can type out the tags like this:

Then insert your picture's address in between them.

Should turn out like this:

It could be possible to identify the knife even without pictures. If you provide enough details about the knife it's possible that someone will recognize it, or at least make a good guess, and then you could do a Google search based on their guess and possibly find a pic of it online.

So, is there any writing/engraving/markings/symbols/insignia anywhere on the knife (often the blade will have markings near the pivot area. some knives have symbols or engraved or stamped inserts in the handles). What is the measured length and style of blade (if you know the different styles of blade). What is the handle made of (brass, wood, deer stag, etc).

The more details you provide the better the chance that someone will recognize the description or at least make a good guess for you to investigate.

This is honestly the first time I have LOLed in a long time. Tears here. No offense to the OP.

was being a bit sarcastic about there being no photo, not referring to the 119 posted by WillardCorspe. Please forgive my failed attempt at humor.
